I just wanted to say hello to fellow tech controllers. I have had some great times in the past -- Fuchu -- Parson's Paradise, all night pinochle, lunch at noodle joints, stopping at beer vending machines (only in Japan) on the way home. WOW...Visitor 34,000...Who would have believed the TSCA started by the first real Water Walkers would still be pulling in the mail from around the world. I started out in a Blue Suit in "65" working in Avionics, Pope/Ft. Bragg, couple of years at Keesler, Instructor Duty then Phu Cat RVN, 5.5 years as a Recruiter then off to Water Walker school. 1st. tour McLellan for 8 mos, then Sahin Tepesi TU. fine mou tain it was, then Humosa RRL Spain and off to DCA-PAC (tough tour)and finally Shaw, 9th. A.F. staff weenie. Living in a tent got old so I jumped ship and found a job at ARINC, network manager for a year, Then on to COMSAT as an installation engineer, all ver the world, American Samoa, Pakistan, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, Cote D, Ivoire, Taiwan and lots of time in Turkey. Hey Steve King: Visit the AFCA building at Scott AFB when you have a chance. They have a "comm memorial" and guess what one of the displays are? Yup it's the ole' ACAS panel from a von switch. Next time you Loop the ACAS back don't forget to tell us folk at Humosa so we can directionalize those verge IST's (don't want too many RAMM Printouts !!). See Ya (Humosa TCF 80-90)

Its good to see the TSCA still moving along with technology. I have an immediate opening for a Tech Controller task Manager in the Reston Area. I need the fill the position no later than 16 June 00. Got this URL from a friend of mine, Ben Palmer. I am an original Tech Controller, 307/493/3C2. retired back in Sep of 99. Have been working for CSC in Colo Springs since then. Stationed at The Mountain 79-80, 83-85, and again 97-99, Mt. Vergine 81-82, lorennes, BE. 86, USAFA 87-96, 606 ACS, Spang GE. 96-97. I have seen many names from the past and would like to hear from anyone who has crossed paths. Never Looped the VFCT, to fool anyone, but did block the ACAS Channel to DCA to cover the VON troops utts a few times!!//KG//

Equal Plus is advertising a Brand New Tech Controller position at Norfolk, VA. It's in the newly stood up Joint Task Force - Civil Support. The J6 there was recently here on the staff and I worked for him. He's pretty impressed with the diversity of te h controllers and wants one on his new staff at JTF-CS. It's a Master Sergeant slot, 3C271, (says 9level, that's an AFPC error and will be fixed shortly). I was an early tech controler before PC's, I worked in only three places ('68-'71) but I'll never forget it: Siegelbach(450 personnel,which was closed in about 1970, while I was there. Then it was on to Ramstein, and the Kindsbach Cave, which closed arou d 1991. After tech control I worked as a photographer for 24 years, and retired in '95. The "tech control" experience helped me in all my later endeavors.
