Mushroom Hill
The terminator
Wow. This level by the terminator is based on the mushroom zone from sonic and knuckles. The graphics, animation, level placement and trap design are all top notch

Egg Doom haven

Elimon

Elimon brings us a cool old school level (same kind of quality as in SonicX V7). The graphics are simple, but the level design is up to par. It is bloody hard though.

Megaman

crossleo

This level is a level that simulates the scenery from the game megaman and the music was taken from the game of Megaman X!.

Screenshot

The trees

crossleo

The tree level contains pretty good graphics and this level is long so you may need more than 3 lives to pass it. Also containing robotic sonics that can give you a hard time passing through, it can be difficult to get to the end.

City2

crossleo

This level contains better graphics than the first city level and it is a better and much longer level. The killer trucks look pretty cool now.

Green hill zone

D.L.

Wow!!!. This is based on the green hill zone. It has pixel perfect tiles and looks fantastic. This is the best level here. The only downside is that due to the level of detail, it may run at only 5-6 frames per second on slow computers. It still rocks though.

A tribute to John Lennon

D.L

A psychedelic view of sonic, based on the eyes of john Lennon, it has some excellent artwork and pays homage to the dude who brought us "imagine".

High up

Daniel

This level looks pretty cool, runs at a good frame rate and has heaps of traps. A very good effort.

Psychic Zone

Daniel

Cool level that has excellent artwork and interesting level design.

Screenshot

City

Crossleo

The city level is an average level with pretty good graphics it puts sonic inside a big city with big destructive truckspretty cool ha?

Screenshot

Cascade

Crossleo

The cascade level is a pretty hard level it includes spikes and pitfalls and it also contains a pretty cool invisible stair way to millions of rings and lives! and also there are walls that light up when you get near them!

Screenshot

Highspeed

Crossleo

The High speed level may be short but the fastest level. I didn't include any background color because it would make this level slow and i also included LOOPS for increasing speed and also added a whole bunch of springs for jumping critically.

Icecap2

JO

This is an extended version of the icecap level. But when i say extended, I mean by about 20 times. This could be a game in its own right. When I say this is a must download, it is an understatement.

Screenshot

Green

JO

Paying homage to the original green hill zone is this map, created in a similar style. Cool to look at and fun to play, even the background music is good.

Screenshot

marble

JO

Marble is a huge level that was included in previous versions of sonicXtreme. I'm putting it up here incase it hasn't been downloaded by someone yet.

Screenshot

pitfall

JO

Pitfall is another good level that was included in previous versions of sonicXtreme. As I said before, I'm putting it up here incase it hasn't been downloaded by someone yet.

Alex1

Jo (me)

This level is basically the same level as level 1 in the game "Alex the Kidd in miracle world" on the master system. It's actually quite good because all of the graphics have been drawn using a bitmap with the real gfx from the game as a tracer.

Screenshot

Metal

David Llewellyn

This level is pretty nice to look at with some well drawn tiles and excellent tile placement. The collision detection is also well implemented. The only downside is that is a very short level.

Screenshot

3D

Jo

This level has been made with an isometric view in mind. It is pretty good but isn't finished yet. What this level does do is make extensive use of all the scrolling levels.

Screenshot

Super

Obiwan

This map is a replica of the first level in the game Super Mario Brothers. Its pretty good. I think it is to scale as well. This lets you see how much bigger sonic is when compared to Mario

Screenshot

Maze

Jo

This map really shows the power of the level editor. No really , it does. While this map may not have fancy graphical effects it is fun. The background music is the track of the mystic cave zone from sonic 2.

Screenshot

Space3

Jo

In this large map I made extensive use of the different parallax levels to create the illusion of stars all around. It's an interesting map and I can't describe it all. The background music is the track of the death egg zone from sonic and knuckles. Note that this map is included in the SonicX zip file.

Screenshot

Sonic

Jo

Early map in which I tried to put in as many parallax layers as possible to show off the 2d effects. It has a shabby design, but it shows the power of SonicX .There are a lot of places to jump and fall to the ground. The background music is a track off the sonic arcade game called sonic electronic.

Screenshot

Smb

Jo

Initially it was going to be an exact replica of the first level of Super Mario Bros. , but i can't draw very well so I left it in the current condition. Maybe someone else will continue this map. It's fun at the moment anyway. The background music is the ending track of sonic 3.

Screenshot

Icecap zone

Jo

Early map based initially on the icecap zone in sonic3. It has a complicated design which makes it hard to believe that SonicX is made in qbasic. There are a lot of places to jump and fall off. The background music is an old techno track called children. I thought it would suit the level.
