Clan Rules:

Rule One: Have a good attitude, in other words when you are losing, don't
cry about how unfair it is or how much you stink, or when you are winning,
don't gloat on and on about how great you are and how small everyone else
is. There is no proper way to play, so please do not impose your beliefs
about how the game should be played on anyone else. Some teasing is okay,
and is good to remind others this is in fact a GAME, not a life. As a
game,it shouldn't be taken all that seriously. If you freshly spawn
and you are chained to death right where you stand, please do not go over
how cheap that was. Some might call it cheap because of how easy of a fight
it is, some might call it good strategy for not letting them live long enough
to get a gun. This includes camping of all kinds, use of powerups, and guns,
armor(power armor included), they can be used however and whenever another
person wants, there is no reason to preach to them over the proper and
skillful way to play. If you do not like it, that is fine, but don't give
others trash over it.

Rule Two: Recruiting shall be done in a very particular way, unless you
have known the person for a long time(and are able to beat them), it really
does need to be done this way. When I say 'and are able to beat them', I
mean that not in that we are seeking rookies to join our ranks, although I
have nothing against it. What I mean is that you need to make sure
they have a good attitude, and whether it is good or bad really comes out
when they are losing a game. What is a good attitude? Doesn't complain alot
or at all(stating some facts does not count as complaining), is a good sport
winning(doesn't gloat all day over his/her victory) or losing (doesn't cry
about how badly he/she plays the game). Also does not preach to others of
how to properly play, if any talk of that nature exists, I really do not want
that person to be in this clan. Now do not confuse preaching with genuine
advice. If I were to say "you shouldn't jump by habit, it makes your movement
more predictable", that is genuine advice. If I were to say "Would you knock
the lame jumping off, makes you look like a bloody rabbit with a gun!", that
would be preaching. These are just examples, use good judgement with this one.

Now, onto how I would like you to recruit, first I want you to play a few
games with them, maybe even ask how they are, stuff like that, get to know
them. DO NOT assume they are cool because they are cool with you,
you can't judge someone on how they regard their equals, but on how they
treat their lessers. While you are at it, ask them if they know 'Deadzergling'
and what they think of him if they do know him, Deadzergling has a fan club
of people who outright hate him just for being able to beat them at quake,
I could list them but I wouldn't have enough page left otherwise. Also be
sure to inform them Deadzergling the leader, if they know him you could have
an interesting reaction to it that, once again use good judgement. To recruit
anyone you must get their e-mail and send it to Deadzergling at
cndksmk@hotmail.com or to my second in command Drunk Monkey at
shagginwagon4@hotmail.com, otherwise how is the leader to keep in contact with
members to tell them of news, events, and other basics. They are expected to
know the proper heading is [LoD]NewGuy, that the clan is based on good
attitudes not on skill, and my e-mail which is cndksmk@hotmail.com . Other
then that, just make sure you can get along with them in the first place,
if you can't get along with them, what makes you think others will.

Rule Three: I reserve the right to invite anyone I want to to the clan,
I also reserve the right to ban anyone from the clan. What does this mean?
Exactly what it says, if I want to invite captain newbie of the newbie squadron
to the clan who has had the game only three days, he is in, no questions
asked. If an extremely good player bothers me with how he acts, I can send
his extremely good rear out the door, no questions asked. This won't be the
only way it happens, and hopefully I will not have to ban many people from
the clan, but I do expect it to happen.

Rule Four: I expect clan members to help each other out when they could use
it, this could involve files, advice on how to play, advice on how to edit a
skin or page or of that nature. If you do not know much about any of the things,
obviously you can't offer much advice for it, but everyone has their own skills
and talents to them, even me, hehe. I also expect members to keep a decent eye
out for dead material(Legions of the Dead), this doesn't mean I want you to be
recruiting everytime you play, hardly, I don't even know if at all when you play,
just watch for good attitudes that could be recruited. The last segment of this,
which is more for troublesome people, is that I expect members to report
troublesome members to me including the details of what they were doing, not
just a "[LoD]NewGuy was being a jerk, ban him pls". This includes people who
are not of the clan but are against the clan, not too serious of stuff, what
are people going to do, its a game :) The most likely reports I will be getting
are ones involving people impersonating me to try to make me look bad.

Rule Five: It has come to my attention that some people hold history against people literally forcing me to write another rule. Please do keep in mind that everyone is human, including me, and not everyone acts the greatest at all times, all we can do is try and pray about it. I expect no one to hold grudges in this clan, I have forgiven quix, buffalo, Mu_thunder, and who knows else for what they have done, and if I can forgive them for that, then everyone else can most certainly forgive other clan members for things they do not quite agree with. I have done so on a number of occasions, and as far as I am concerned after that what they did does not exist. Hard to do? Yes, it is, but it can be worked at. For those not knowing who Quix, Buffalo, or Mu_thunder are, just know they said ALOT of bad things about me, some may have impersonated me in attempts to make my name look bad, and whichever else they could think of that is doable in the game. I most certainly don't expect everyone to attempt to become great friends with these individuals, but do not hold anything against them. If I honestly thought they had cleaned up their act, I would allow them to be in LoD as well. In short all I want to make clear in this is that I do not want any of you to hold grudges against anyone, nearly lost a member over things of this nature, would prefer not to see it again. So no grudges guys, this does not mean if someone continually gives me reason to ban them they will stay in, but I won't hold anything against them even if I am forced to ban them, and I would hope no one else would too.

Rule Six: Apparently many players get emotionally involved in the game, meaning they take some teasing as a personal attack. They seem to forget it is in fact a game we are playing, and that it is their job to play this game or something of that nature. Well I got news for them, it is not a job, it is a game, the only people with any form of an occupation in this clan right now are me and Mike, we have leadership responsibilities. The rest of you just have fun and try help us and others out okay? :) Now onto the point about this rule, those of you who tease alot(I am included) or get teased and dislike it, just ask others to stop, or respect others wishes if they wish for you to stop. If you are truly irritated by teasing, and just get mad and spam out a bunch of garbage in return, it is your own fault for not saying anything and acting back in a bad way. While it is not always the best thing to do, I will allow members to treat others as they deserve to be. Do try to be kind though. If anyone in LoD does not respect your wish to stop teasing you or to tone it down alot, please inform me at cndksmk@hotmail.com or Mike at shagginwagon4@hotmail.com and one of us will have a little talk with this individual. So let me say the basic jist of this rule to finish with, if you get teased, dislike it, but don't say anything and get yourself all worked up about it and/or start blurting out obsceneties and swear words out of anger, it is your own fault for it, no one else's.

Rule Seven: This rule is entirely for those interested in being involved in the clan on a level where you are expected to do certain things, to have an occupation. Those of you who just want to play, show up at some events, help out every now and then, and just plain have fun, you do not need to read on, those of you actually interested in having occupations within the clan however, please let me or Mike know (he will let me know), I guarantee I can set you up doing something. The positions I am going to have ready are 3rd in command(later on, me, Mike, and possibly C would have to talk it over), Recruiter, Clan Officer, Map Designer, Skin Designer, Spy, & War Coordinator. Some positions will have limited entry and be harder to obtain then others. The positions that will take some talk and consideration are the positions of 3rd in command, Recruiter, Clan Officer, Spy, and War Coordinator. The positions of Map Designer and Skin Designer will be open to anyone who wants them, just expect some 'due dates' as to when I expect some work to show up, we truly do need some clan maps and more clan skins and I & Mike appreciate every position that is filled. I will now explain each and every position's powers and duties.

Third in command: will have the power to let anyone into the clan that they feel is worthy of inviting, without having to get an okay from me or Mike. The main difference the Third in command has is that he will have all the powers of me or the second in command, except in that he cannot ban anyone without an okay from myself AND the second in command. Other then that, he has all the duties myself and the second in command have, which will be explained to any individuals wishing to try out for it.

Recruiter: The recruiter will have the power to invite and tryout anyone in the clan without an okay from the leader, the second in command, or third in command. He is also responsible for making sure any one he recruits gives them all information necessary for the member page, and sending this information directly to me. The other thing he is responsible for is members having skins, knowing the basic jist of the rules, and is acting in a manner fitting of the clan. This individual is only responsible for recruiting of members, not of kicking any out.

Clan Officer: The position of Clan Officer will be for those who are of good judgement, wish to help coordinate some events & keep me updated on things, and are willing to get in a person's face if need be. They will be capable of banning a member with an okay from me alone, the second in command & third in command will not have the power to let them ban someone, nor will the second or third command have the power to ban a Clan Officer. (Unless I give them the okay to) A clan Officer will basically be someone who keeps people of the clan in line (the leader, second in command, & third in command as well), and will be required to e-mail me a report of how the clan is progressing at least once a week. I intend to have around two or three Officers, which will be chosen after some consideration. They will be very important to keep the leader up to date on how the clan is going, and will be right below the third command in power.

War Coordinator: This individual has a very important sounding title, because he also has a very important job. It is his job to seek out clans to have clan battles in. He is in charge of setting up the times, deciding on a server and ensuring everyone in the clan knows of these times and servers. I expect him to give everyone a few days warning before we fight against another clan, and to be aware that not everyone can show up for these (I will not always be able to show up either). I will explain more to the individual who actually gets this occupation.

Spy: Just as the name indicates, this person is to spy on things, to check them out. He is mostly designated to supply me with positive (Objective and accurate) information, not normative(based on personal opinion). The information I would want to hear about is how good other clans are both in skill and in attitude, inform me of how good LoD's skill and attitude are, and anything else he finds interesting that he thinks I should know about. I expect anyone who fills this position to give me a report at least once a week about what he observes.

Map Designer: Builds maps for LoD, obviously. While I do not require he dedicate any maps to the clan or anything, I do expect him to have something for me at least once every month (a map ready, not finished necessarily, but something he wants to see about) I expect anyone who fills this position to get maps done on time. That means if I ask for a deathmatch map in a week, I expect a deathmatch map to be ready in a week. If I ask for a capture the flag map in three weeks, I expect it done in three weeks. Although I doubt I will penalize someone much if they do not get things done on time, I do not appreciate asking for something and not getting it.

Skin Designer: Edits skins for clan LoD. I do require that the skins he makes for LoD have an LoD in easy to read print on the skin, as the skins are meant to distinguish us from others, so it is easier to play on teams or just to nail each other. I expect to see a skin done or getting more done at least once every two weeks. As with the Map designer, I expect him to respect my wishes if I tell him to have something ready for me in a week or two. I also expect him to be able to make a skin off a model he doesn't necessarily like to make it possible for clan members to use that model and still be using an LoD skin. Skins I have made for the clan can be used as a good example of what the minimum's for skin are, and I do not mind if you edit some of my skins up, as long as you mention the fact.

Who has the most power, most to least. While it is not alot of fun to have less power than someone else, I do find it necessary to point out which positions have power over others. It goes as follows:

Leader

Second in Command

Third in Command

Clan Officer

War Coordinator

Recruiter

Spy

Map Designer/Skin Designer

All the rules I can think of for the time being, thanks, Paul(Deadzergling).
