INSTALLATION & TESTING OF ERICSSON BSC AND MSC:
(INTEGRATION & FUNCTIONALITY TESTS OF BSC to MSC\VLR\HLR, BSC to RBS200/RBS2000)
ACTIVE participation with ERICSSON AXE experts in performing the following:
-Size Alterations/System File Creation to set the initial sizes of Software Blocks in the MSC and BSC.
-Exchange File Creation in terms of definition of switching modules in the MSC/BSC (Group Switch Subsystem(tsm-spm -clm) , Regional Processors, Extension Modules, ETCs, Bothway Trunks, CCITT No. 7 Signaling , Route Analysis Tables, Charging Analysis Tables, B No. Analysis Tables etc.)
-Hardware and Software Testing of the MSC and BSC.(ERICSSON CME20\40)
-NE test of all switch elements (IOG 11, IOG 20, APZ 212 11, APZ 212 20, RPs, G/S, DTI, ETCs , SS7 terminals)
-Installations, Testing and Commissioning of Radio Base Stations (RBS2000\RBS200)
-Hardware upgrade of the switch by addition of new TSMs, RPs,TRHs,etc
-Exchange Data Loading
-Functionality test of various features in both MSC and BSC.
-Traffic tests.
-Introduction of new MSC and BSC into the network.
INSTALLATION & INTERWORKING TESTS BETWEEN ERICSSON, CMG & COMVERSE SYSTEMS
-Installations and Acceptance Testing of COMVERSE Pre-Paid Intelligent Peripheral /Service Node (IP/SN) & Voicemail and IVRU Systems (SCO-UNIX ,DIGITAL UNIX,Windows NT Gateway & INFORMIX Database servers)
-Installation and Acceptance Testing of CMG Short Message Service Center (OpenVMS ,SQL,ORACLE Database server)
-Installation & Testing of DATAGATE (SMS-Services Gateway Server) server connected to SMSC using TCP/IP via CISCO router .
-Carrying out Interworking tests (C7 tests with Protocol Analyser) between the Value-Added Services platforms and the Ericsson MSC\VLR and HLR.
ERICSSON O & M AND INTERNATIONAL ROAMING AS A VALUE-ADDED SERVICE
-Assisting in carrying out technical international roaming aspects & co-ordination with other network operators.
-Establishment of the C7 link for international roaming & Implementation of the roaming data into the MSC.
-Carrying out IR24 roaming tests with other network operators.
-Management of the international roaming database.
-Extraction of traffic files from the MSC & traffic analysis and presentation using MS-Excel.
-Definition of BTS’s from CELL PLANNING data.
-Configuration & Definition of MSC\BSC Exchange data from Network Planning data.
-MSC and BSC tests and troubleshooting.
