Hello there! Welcome to my new and improved Home Page. Almost everybody's got a Home Page these days, and I thought, why shouldn't I ?? So, here I am, finally with my own Page. I know it's nothing much, but what the heck, it's my own piece of real estate in cyberspace.

What you see here is the third version of my site, updated on August 20,1997. I created the original site on September 27, 1996. Never thought I would come this far. But with all the web authoring tools available mostly free in the Internet, It was both fun and easy.

I am a Sri Lankan Living in Staten Island, New York, with my lovely wife Sujeewa and baby Ivanka, our bundle of joy. He was born on March 26, 1997. You can see pictures of him in my "Photo Album" page. I have been living in the US since 1986, but I still miss my sweet home, beautiful Sri Lanka. Needless to say how much I miss my friends and specially fun loving staff at AIRLANKA, where I worked for six fun filled years.

I created this site on a Windows 95 operating system. I started with Netscape Navigator Gold 2.0 as my first web editor when I designed the original site, then I jumped to Hot Dog Pro 3 and then to Microsoft Front Page 97 and Hot Metal Pro 3. This new site  is completely designed with Front Page 98 beta. Some of the pages on this site are enhanced with Dynamic HTML.  (Applets that fly off and into the screen). You would need the latest versions of either Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer (Version 4 or above) to view Dynamic HTML. If you need more information on Dynamic HTML, visit DHTML Zone.

My special thanks goes to Geocities , Tripod   and Xoom  for hosting of this page and to all the shareware authors, without whom this page would not exist. I shouldn't forget The New York Public Library, 58th street branch, where I had the first peek at internet, in March, 1996.

This site is dedicated to my father, Lionel Alexander Dissanayake, who passed away in June 6, 1990. I love you Thaththa.
