It was on December 5 1985 when Rolly left Manila for Bahrain after a short stint at the then MWSS as a Junior Engineer. Girlie at that time worked with the Malaya and the Manila Bulletin newspaper. As promised, Rolly, took Girlie with him to Bahrain after their wedding in June 6, 1987. Thereafter, Girlie worked in different companies in this Middle Eastern country, the last of which was Nikko Europe Plc. Rolly worked as a supervisor at the Building Maintenance Department of the Ministry of Works and Agriculture. After eleven years of marriage and stay in Bahrain, they finally decided to leave for good and choose Canada as a permanent place to live, this time with two children, a 10 year-old boy named Carlo (now age 19) and a three year and a half year old girl named Bambi(now 13).
