I play Quake II all the time. I mostly play capture the flag(ctf) over the internet. I wish that I had a T-1, ISDN, or any other type of connection that is faster than my V.90 modem because my ping is really high (290 to 400ms) to close by servers. With a T-1, cable modem, or xDSL, I would get good pings (below 100ms) to close by servers. With an ISDN line, I would get OK pings (maybe arround 150 to 250ms) to close by servers.

Also I have a Diamond Stealth II S220 graphics accelerator. It has a Rendition Viriti V2k chip in it. I play quake in the Open GL mode. It is ok but id rather have a 3d board with 3dfx's Voodoo Banshee or Voodoo² chip in it.
