  • CurvFitSegments software was developed to fit complex data variations in segments. Segments are defined by the user as either linear (2nd order equation) or parabolic (3rd order equation). The program determines all the coefficients for the single curve y = f ( x ).

Another example of the usage of the program is in the field of Bio-Chemistry. An excellent curve fit of cell growth data is shown.

The CurvFitSegments2 software was used to develop the segment curve fit equations for the vehicle route shown in the plot. A spline fit is used between linear and parabolic segments, and between adjacent parabolic segments.

The CurvFitSegments3 software was used to develop the segment curve fit equations for the aircraft drag shown in the plot. A spline fit is used between linear and parabolic segments, between linear and cubic segments, between adjacent parabolic segments and between adjacent cubic segments.
