CD Navigator Features overview

CD Navigator is a freeware disk catalogue software. It was build especially cataloging CD-ROM-s and audio disc but now support to catalog a big amount of floppy disk with autonumbering, etc.

The program face is similar to Norton Commander and DOS Navigator, but the two panel have different construction and work. Left panel handles disk images stored in different groups. You can open many groups as you need, and you can use this group system as DOS directories. The right panel shows the loaded disk image like in a simple file manager.

Program has a command line, but you can use it for search. Typed words will be the searched strings. You can search a string as a filename, a filenote, a diskname, a disknote and an audio track. Filenote, disknote and diskname are created by you. Filenames are scanned by the program during Scan procedure.

You can set the depth of scanning. This mean the opened and scanned directory level. During scan CD Navigator is able to read filenotes from DESCRIPT.ION type text files. You can set the name of these files.

The new version is able to get notes from compressed archives, from FILE_ID.DIZ file. You only have to specify the location of extractor file.

You can load special text files made by you to build a nonexisting disk. This allow you to catalog your steamer casettes.

The language support is a new feature in v4.1. CD Navigator can use different language drivers, and you can modify this files. After download please read LANGUAGE.TXT.
