Me, Moi?

Well, I'm sure you wanna know a bit about me (Duh, you didn't click "My Info" for nothin...) So here we go... And where to start but back in the good old days (Which weren't that good, and I wasn't that old...) Anyway, Enough of my Blabbering... here we go.
I was born in Hoffman Estates, near Chicago, and lived there for a while, then moved to Munster Indiana, right across the border (IL/IN) and stayed there for 12 years. Nothing too exciting there, small town (about 2 sq mi) and when I was just about to go to High school, My Family and I got transferred down to Cincinnati, Oh.  So I went through HS in a town called West Chester. That's pretty dull too, but school was fun and so were the people I've met here, so I'd have to say it wasn't all that bad. I'll get more into all the stuff I've done later, but right now, it's on to the next phase...
In April of 1999, being the year of all years, my Dad got transferred again, (although this time for more money and a more lucrative position. This time, again we move south East

To the Richmond Area.  Midlothian, VA. And that's where We are, for now...
I however decided to stay in West Chester, OH over the summer, with friends, and hobbies, "to see what happens when friends stop being friends and start being roomates".  (I can hear the MTV Real World Opening right now..)
What Hobbies, you say? Well, Time to try out this List thing...

Ok, well, there's the general list... Let's do some more detail and try to work some pics in...

Music... I mainly play the Electric Guitar... Got me a 6 string Yamaha Electric Pacifica with a humbucker and two singles. I Love it. The sound, the feel, it's definatly better than a Fender in my experience. (thought the Tele's great for Blues, everthing in it's place) I'm currently looking for a nice Bass (well I found one, but it was 1200 bucks, too rich for my blood) I said pictures, so here's a pic I found of it, but mine is Blue Metalic with a White Fretboard. Not a sissy blue, a "I'm-Gonna-Kick-Your-&^$%*#&$-Into-The-Next-Decade" Blue...  I like playing the Drums, but since I'm a bit too cheap to get a set my self, I'm just alright with it... That's another project. In the I can play but don't have catagory, Piano ( I use my parents upright Baldwin ), French Horn, Violin, etc...
As for Listening, I'll make a list of some of my favorite bands down at the bottom of this page... Maybe even with links to some of their sites. You'll find it's quite eclectic. I attribute that to mood swings and the unique ability to get sick of stuff quickly...

Computers... I currently program in C++, PASCAL, Assembler, and a hair of a handful of other languages. Put simply I can print "Hello World" in about 10 languages... My favorite language has got to be Turbo PASCAL, simply 'cause it incorporates my second favorite into it, Assembler. C++ Is alright, but personnally I dont' believe the hype around OOP. It's way too overplayed, and frankly I can write a program 10 times faster with out having all the OOP and it'll run quicker in the end. Anything with as much fore-thought as OOP should be shot simply because it takes too much development time before anything has been writen. However, when large groups of programmers are used to make a program, it does have it's advantages as an OOP program can be easly split up into sub tasks, and if all written well in OOP, the work can easily be distributed upon many people making developming more efficient... But that's another page intirely...
No Computer section would be complete with out a list of currently running computers... Lets's see...

  1. A PII-333 with 8.4GB HD, 64MB RAM, Running Win 98
  2. A P-120 Notebook with  1GB HD, and 16MB RAM Running Linux 2.0.34
  3. 2 486 DX4/100's with 16 MB RAM and about 1 GB total HD space Running Win 95
And ofcourse I love my Linux-book... It's as quick as my PII in quite a few benchmarks.
