Ever since Microsoft integrated web into Microsoft Office, they created a BIG file security flaw on any system that could launch any of their application. I.E Word, Excel, Access.

I found this security flaw after trying to get access to a folder so I could save my files and also launch some other applications.  Like most university, they have "disable access" to hard drives or just hide it from view or from keyboard commands like if you were try pressing the Window key and E to launch explorer.

Here is how I found out the security...

I was in Word typing an important doc and could not save my file on C: drive and i have no floppy disc. So I fingered, if I could get the address locator bar up in word I could access C drive like I do in IE. So after I brought the toolbar up

I just type in C:\ and press enter. Thank you Microsoft for integrating Microsoft Explorer to your OS, now everyone could find something useful out of it. REM: I must admit I like to use IE because it is there in the OS.

Now I just have to find a folder with write permission and that folder was the C:\TEMP or my profile. You could do almost anything to the system once to access C:\ unless they block you from access C:\ completely and I would think that would be a lot of work setup the security software to do that.

Now you know how to access the hard drive, tell your college buddies. I have never used it to do anything illegal though with it or format the hard disc or anything that would disable the system. I just use it to access I.E or other software not display on my desktop or Programs folder. Please use it in a good way. IF you could learn how to just use this in a good way, then anything that we confront such as biotechnology and so, we will use it in a good way.

I am not a hacker just a secumventor...

Good luck.
