1989 - 1993 Sponsored by The Ministry of Defence. Pre-University year with DRA Aquila, Bromley, South London.

Summer Placements:

1990 Hybrid Electronics Unit - RSRE Malvern.

1991 Product Rationalisation - GPT Beeston, Nottingham

1992 Solar Correlator Installation - IAC, Tenerife, Spain

Nov 1993 - June 1996 Nokia Mobile Phones Ashwood House, Pembroke Broadway, Camberley, Surrey.

• · 1 Year in UI team - Design and implementation of new features for 2 generations of Japanese PDC mobile phones. Acquiring knowledge of PDC protocol.
• · Responsible for building, and lab testing the MCU Embedded software, including 4 trips to Japan to field test the UI software.
• · Product software design and implementation of musical ring tones, and roaming software.
• · Implementation of flash encryption to prevent phone cloning.
• · Design and development of embedded software for a memory location transfer box based around a C51 Intel Processor.
• · 6 months Windows design and development of an After Sales service package using C++.
