Macintosh Sound and Movie Software

Apple CD-ROM software 5.32 (646K) -- this is the most recent version from apple it includes improvements such as compatibility with most CD-ROM drives. It also includes Apple CD Audio Player.

Apple Video Player and Software 1.51 part1 (816K) and part 2 (717K) -- (download both pieces ) This is Apple's newest version of the Apple Video Software, for those of you with an Apple Video Card in your machines.

CD-to-AIFF 1.2c (59K) allows you to translate music off a AudioCD into an 16bit AIFF file. It takes a lot of disk space up though. Quick Movie Player also has this option by using the open command, then clicking on convert (push options to specify conversion).

MIDGraphy 1.33 (701K) the only good MIDI editor / MIDI maker out there. Make and edit your MID's for play on the Internet.

MoviePlayer 2.51 (166K) is a movie player from Apple, that plays quicktime and QTVR movies. It also includes two plugins that enhance it's capabilities, which belong in the folder with MoviePlayer. If you want to play MPEG movies on MoviePlayer, download QuickTime MPEG Software.

MPEG Aud 1.0 (304K) -- this small application simple encodes and decodes MPEGs to and from AIFF sound files.

Real Audio 3.0 is one of the newest technologies on the Internet. It allows you to hear audio while it's downloading, Go to their homepage and download it.

Simple Sound 1.0 (73K) This small application from Apple allows you to record system 7 sounds and alerts for longer than 10 seconds. It also has different quality options.

SoundApp 2.31 (876K) will play any sound file you can find on the Internet, including MPEG's (Only on PowerMacs). It can convert to different formats and is the best, free sound application around. This is a must if you want to hear what the web has to offer.

SoundMachine 2.71 (425K) is a great sound player. It will play almost any sound file, except MPEG, and has many option's while playing. There is also Sound Machine 2.1 (74K), which includes recording capabilities.

Some of the movies you find on the Internet are in MPEG format. Sparkle 2.4.5 (1107K) will play some of these movies for you as well as quicktime movies. Try it out.
