Weclome to the SOLD bylaws page

The Sacred Order of Loyal Defenders is dedicated to protecting the weak and uplifting the just. Based on the decisions you have made by answering the questionnaire, the rules have been laid out as follows:

Player killing was almost unaminously decided for. I have only received one vote against it thus far. However, player killing is not to be handled lightly and can have serious repurcusions. Killing other players has been decided to be only used for defensive purposes. These limitations apply to all players with the excpetion of Royal Assassins only.

Cloning items has also been approved. Players are allowed to clone items freely, with one exception. Cloned items may only be given to other SOLD members. There are no limitations to level differences or hacked items. Cloning other characters is allowed only in extreme cases: ie, if a level 50 rogue wipes out your entire party, you are allowed to clone the character for the purpose of seeking justice. This ability is limited to Knights only.

Alterring character statistics with external editors is strictly prohibited. You must earn your abilities fairly! This doesn't mean that you can stock up on elixirs...

Hacked items are now in serious question. According to your responses, hacked items are ok as long as you didn't know that it was hacked when you originally obtained it. There is a slight problem with this reasoning that I, unfortunately, overlooked. Many items in the multiplayer game are nothing compared to those in the single player game. To the best of my knowledge, I have never found a staff with more than 100 or so charges on it. And especially not an apocalypse staff. I would wager that many of you would agree here. A few of you responded by demanding that hacked items, once discovered need to be turned over to the guild. At this point, I will leave it to you, the player, to decide whether or not the item is reasonable and could be found in the multiplayer universe. If you decide that the items is a fraud, please donate the item to the guild for examination and possible removal.

At the moment, players are bound by the honor system to follow the guidelines. A decision as to notifying higher up guild officials or keeping quite about the matter has not been decided by the questionnaire. Please send your requests about this soon.

Well, that's about it for now. Thanks for reading all of this. I've been working hard on your responses and even harder on keeping the data all straight. Keep checking this page for updates as new members are added.
