Thanks for the info. I am just trying to let a designer run my archive of unix perl stuff on his laptop NT machine, and saw your comments that as long as one writes in pure perl it is fully portable. He installed perl from activexxx and said that my pro
ram opened an output file but didn't work and I am sure it is some small issue like a path or something that isn't set up right, and am in before him. Thanks!

Thanks for your socket scripts. I have a question- using the win32 perl, how can I get a return string from an SMTP server using VRFY (to see if an email address is valid). Using parts of your smtpmail_pl.txt I can make a socket, bind and connect ok.

I was looking for an answer to a question when I ran into your site. I still have not found the answer. I was wondering if you could help.
When I run SSI on NT/IIS/PerlIs I receive the following status message:
HTTP/1.0 200 OK Date: Fri, 13 Feb 1998 15:39:11 GMT Server: Microsoft-IIS/3.0
I would like to turn this feature off. Do you have any suggestions on how to do this.

Wow Robin, nice site, Im always glad to find more perl information: too many perl related sites have dissapeared lately. Anyhow I saw your link in the Perl for Win32 Site and decided to hop on over. Glad i did.

Areas include online games, software and hardware links, online chat and threaded discussion forums. Oh Yeah, A few tunes too ...
