I play guitar extremely well. I have been playing since 1985. I can play most rock/metal/grunge when I need to, but I spend my playing time writing, practicing and improving my own songs.

I also play piano and keyboards (yes, there's a difference). I can also make pleasing sounds come out of drums, violins, flutes, clarinets, xylophones, and almost anything else I get my hands on. I do not play brass instruments. I've tried. If you see me try again, start running for the nearest store that sells earplugs.

The same goes for my vocals. I probably have a great voice somewhere inside, but even I wince when I listen to songs I recorded with myself singing. It does seem to be improving with age, so I have a chance that I will have a great voice in another decade or two.

I do read and write music notation. I can almost sightread for guitar and keyboards. I doubt I'll ever develop the talent fully, because I don't plan a career as a professional musician.

My playing has been, and probably always will be, because I have music inside that must be let out. I will publish it on CD someday, probably next year. But I have been saying that since 1989. I use the PC to play the instruments I don't own, but I still have not found the male vocalist to fit my songs. Sorry, I do know many good female singers, but I do not write songs from the Feminine viewpoint.

I decided not to trust my lyrics to the Web until the songs are published. I may put some of my poetry here, as I never expect to publish it for profit.

I once was incredible with colored pencils. I was also pretty good with crayons. But I decided there was no profit in the business. And since I wasn't using the skills, I lost it.

I have kept the artist's eye, so I can produce good graphics on the PC. (Do you like my backgrounds?) Expect some originals here someday.
