I used to be a main developer of MikMod for Unix, a multi-platform audio application currently portable to most common Unix platforms I maintain several packages for the Debian Linux distribution I have good knowledge of C, particularly in a Unix environment, and to a small extent under DOS. I have some experience of Pascal, C++, awk, sed, perl, tcl, m4, sh, SQL, HTML and some variants of assembly. In the course of my employment at Allstor Software I have helped to develop and maintain several pieces of software for AIX (versions 3.2 through to 4.2), NetBSD (1.2 to 1.3) and Solaris (2.4 to 2.6), ranging from simple application code through to kernel drivers for each. System I am sysadmin of my own machine running Linux which used administration to be hammer.chu.cam.ac.uk, providing Unix shell access and other services for myself and about 60 other people within the University I have set up simple ethernet networks using a variety of hardware. I have experience of administering Solaris, NetBSD and AIX (as above). I have a full UK driving licence and I own a car. I am a keen role-player, both running and playing games organised by CURS, the University Role-Playing Society. I was elected Secretary for the Society for three years and I am currently the Chief Caprine Entity. I picked up a quarter-blue in 1996 for representing CURS (and hence the University) in the annual Role-Playing Varsity Match with Oxford. I am interested in almost all forms of sport and am willing to try anything, even if I have little skill.
