Hi, my name is Doug Sutherland. I'm a systems engineer at JavaSoft, home of the Java programming Language in Cupertino, California. I recently moved to the Silicon Valley from way up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (also known as winterpeg for its 40 below temperatures). Needless to say I'm enjoying the weather in Sunny CA. In my previous life I worked in the trenches of application development at Great-West Life, a large Canadian financial services company. I'm kind of a net junkie, and a self-confessed Javaholic. When I'm not doing the Java Jive, I'm usually wandering aimlessly somewhere in cyberspace. There are some really interesting cats (and dogs) out there ...
<<< This image recently showed up in my CUSee-Me video conferencing software. Those amazing animals. If you want to try lurking in on a CUSee-Me session, download the software and connect to one of the active CU-SeeMee reflectors. To see or not to see, that is the question. Try connecting to one of the NASA reflectors for some really cool images from outer space. For more cool video conferencing, check out the PeopleNet page on video conferencing. They also have a great reflector scanner and a MeetU-MeetMe connections page. The virtual world is getting closer and closer to reality all of the time!
