My Online Portfolio

This webpage is very, very old. For more up to date work that I do now, check out my portfolio.

Would you look at that! An UPDATE! Within LESS THAN *TWO* YEARS and 16 DAYS!!!! Well, my great announcement right now is that I've finished my fourth version on Icatcher Icons. Go download it, and check out the icons...

Much thanks for all the feedback and mail! And since I keep getting the same questions... here are some answers... sort of:

FINDING .ICO PAGES -- On the internet, "icon" web pages usually mean that you'll find tons and tons of... NOT icons (see the next topic). They are web art, little pictures of mails, buttons, and other things. So, how do you find a REAL icon page? There aren't many. Look to my links page, and when searching on Lycos, or Webcrawler, or NetSearchFinditFastQuickCommericalLand, try using keywords like : ICONS WINDOWS ICO to differentiate from web art. Good Luck

.ICO vs .GIF -- Nope. These icons are NOT little web art pictures, which are also called "icons" for some reason or other. THESE icons are Windows icons (like the "My Computer" picture) and they cannot be interchanged with .gif pictures. To convert them usually results in shrinking the .gif to the appropriate size, and then cutting and pasting them. Sometimes this is just as hard as drawing them all over yourself... sometimes not. .ico to .gif is easier, much easier, cut and paste, that's all.

Send me any icon requests! The only catch is that any icons I send you for free will be incorporated as a part of Icatcher Icons v4.0 ...

Tell me if you have any ideas.

Icons are the most common thing in the world of Windows. They are the interface with which the user interacts with to access Windows. All these things are relevant, but most of all -- icons are fun!

You can make millions of variations and kinds of icons using an icon editor. I myself use Application Studio, a portion of the C++ program. Although it may not be a versatile as other icon editors out there, it serves its purpose well. A popular icon editor out there is the MicroAngelo Editor.

I never mentioned, but Geocities is where I am able to have a free homepage in the first place. Thanks!
