Who Needs Terminal Plus?

Well just about anyone who needs a reliable serial communications program. However, Terminal Plus was designed with programmer and engineer in mind.

Technicians may find this program useful for monitoring a serial port and logging the activities to a file. This may sound trivial, but Terminal Plus will automatically create a new log file at the start of the day, and it will reuse old log files so that you will never run out of disk space. In a typical scenario, 30 days worth of logs files are usually enough to back track and troubleshoot problems once they are reported. However, you can save up to 999 days worth of log files.
Communications programmers will find Terminal Plus useful for writing serial communications protocols. The ability to view and send single binary characters from the keyboard is a must for developing new protocols.
Modem designers will find the CRC test strings useful for testing new products to evaluate reliability.
Hardware engineers will find most of the features of Terminal Plus very useful. Imagine not having to debug your terminal when you are bringing up a new board for the first time.
