Personal info
I am Nazli Abdullah. Currently I live in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
My home country - Malaysia. Its a beautiful country. Save some money now and visit it one day. You won't regret it.
About Saudi, its much different than Malaysia, or any other countries I have ever been. Its unique. After some time I get used to it. Many don't know that Saudi Arabia also have winter (for the areas in central). But summer is just too hot. Sometimes it get beyond 50 degrees celcius. That's hot. Not all places in Saudi is hot though, some areas such as Taif, Abha (in the Asir Region) and Al-Baha, the weather is kind of cool. Sort of like mediterranean. These place are high up on the mountains.
About work, I'm a RF Engineer. RF stand for Radio Frequency. I would rather call it something else. RF doesn't sound cool. Anyway, what I do is, I am part of the team that design the wireless network. Right now I work on 2 project, GSM (I think many of you familiar with this, those cellphone in your pocket) and also Wireless Local Loop (WLL). WLL is actually regular PSTN telephone service, but instead of laying copper, we do it via wireless.
I think I do like my job. The only thing that I don't like is, I have to go out under the sun quite often, doing survey. Sometimes I just cannot stand the hot desert weather. Its a dirty job, but somebody got to do it. Nevertheless, due to the of nature of my job, I get to see many parts of Saudi Arabia. Significant portion of my job right now is concentrated in Makkah some other areas in the western part of Saudi.
