A collection of online calendars and directories for professional technical advancement. A list of groups with meetings in the Southern California and selected national and international resources. The professional societies frequently have the most advanced presentations while the user groups are usually the most active.

Have a variety of online events to consider in addition to local meetings. Technetcast in particular has many presentations by leading figures archived.

An eclectic collection of mostly local events of all kinds, with a directory of local organizations. Many groups are not listed though. User groups can be found below and at User Groups Southern California and many maintain their own calendars.

National and International Resources

Technical Conference Information Center
A remarkably comprehensive calendar of upcoming technical events, browsable by date or searchable. Also a Directory of Hi-tech Organizations with links to them is available.

TechCalendar
A searchable database of upcoming events. Conferences are the most useful, followed by meetings, conventions, and trade shows. Avoid seminars unless you want vendor specific events.
