Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and carry out the scheduled operation and maintenance of low voltage and high voltage switchgear in switching station and powerhouse.
  • Monitor and evaluate the technical performance of generators, power transformers and circuit breakers (OCB and VCB).
  • Plan and supervise the construction and maintenance work of high tension (33 KV) and low-tension lines (1 KV and 400 V) as a part of rural electrification.

  • Plan and implement the suitable current limiting devices such as PTC, MCB and ECC as a load control device for rural electrification.

  • Plan and carry out the scheduled maintenance of powerhouse equipment such as generators, motors, switchgears and low voltage circuit breakers and control equipment and power transformer as well as distribution transformers.
  • Design and commission the control, metering and protection system for the newly built high voltage feeders outgoing from the power house.
  • Estimate the costing and evaluation of electrical works and items so as to purchase and install the work through quotation or tender.
  • Ascertain the quality of the spare parts purchased for the operation of the system from different manufacturers.
