It's been....well you know! I have added some new entries into the Student Records part so look, copy & enjoy!

10-21-2001

Oh my! It's been a while. Well good code is like good wine...it's needs time to age. Seriously though, I've added some Admissions stuff, some Financial Aid stuff, some Open VMS DCL stuff, and some FRS stuff. Enjoy!

5-1-2001

It's me again!!! I have added a section to list tips and techniques for the Financial Resource Systems (FRS) software package. Big news (for me at least)!!! The institution that I work at is beginning to implement SCT's "Web For" products (Student & Faculty) and the CampusPipeline software. As always, I'll be sure to post any tips and techniques that relate to these two products.

Happy New Year! I have added a section to list tips and techniques for the Human Resource Systems (HRS) software package. There are only three (3) items out there now, but I'm sure that number will slowly increase.

12-18-2000

Wanted to add some stuff before leaving for the Christmas holidays - 1 Admissions program; 1 SIS Program Modification; 4 Billing programs. Enjoy! See you after the New Year!

09-28-2000

Well I'm back again! I've added a site map to facilitate navigation; that is, if you don't want to take the time and really explore. :-)

06-12-2000

Hey, I know it's been a while since the last update, but a lot's been done during that time. First, I did some touch up to the opening page; putting all of the SIS related links onto one page, for example. Next, a search page has been added. Finally, I replaced the horizontal lines on all of the pages with the dolphin graphic.

02-24-2000

Well, it's back to SIS. I have added a section showing various program modifications that I have done over the years to the SIS+ system. Most of the changes are fairly simple, but effective. Since I'm posting program code here, I hope I don't hear from SCT's lawyers. :-)

02-22-2000

Hey! I'm really branching out! I've added a whole new section to the site. This one contains a "blast from the past" : "old" PrintMaster clip art that you can download, cut & paste, etc. Now if I can find a suitable webring to link this page to ...

02-08-2000

For the past two days, I've been doing some "touching up" to my site : updating the diary section, updating the main page, and getting the site ready for Valentine's day. I would mention all of the changes I've done, but they are a bit too numerous to mention here. Trust me. They are good though! :-)

02-05-2000

Well, I have found suitable web rings for my Java & JavaScript creations. First, I was accepted into The Great JavaScripts Webring. Check it out! You will see a link to it on the JavaScript page. Next, I joined The Java and JavaScript Collection! Webring. Check it out! That is, after you check out The Great JavaScripts Webring. Oh what the heck; open up two browser windows and check them both at the same time. :-) Oh yes, you will see a link to it on the Java page. I tried to join two more webrings, but I didn't have any success. I guess maintaining a webring is more work than some people can handle, so they just quit.

01-22-2000

Oh yes, I'm keepin' up with the times! I have added the following sections to my site : Java (20 items); Javascript (12 items); & D-HTML (6 items). Enjoy! Now I need to find suitable web rings to add these sections to.

01-10-2000

Since I'm into rings now, I decided to join the "All Things COBOL" WebRing as well. You will see a link to it on the COBOL page. Check out the "All Things COBOL" WebRing. There's a lot of good stuff out there (including mine). Hey didn't I say that once before?

01-06-2000

Well my web site has made it into the new millennium so now it's time to start updating again. I have joined the OpenVMS WebRing. You will see a link to it on the OpenVMS DCL page. Check out the OpenVMS WebRing. There's a lot of good stuff out there (including mine).

Oh my, how could I possibly forget to update the Billing section for SIS +? I completely forgot about that area. Well, not to worry, this has been done! Seven (7) new routines have been added. Also, I did some updating to some of the FOCUS code on the site. Sometimes a process needs to be "fine-tuned". Oh, a programmer's job is never done!

09-07-1999

The Student Records section for SIS + has been updated (some more). Ten (11) new routines have been added.

08-31-1999

The Student Records section for SIS + has been updated. Fourteen (14) new routines have been added.

But Wait! There is more for the Student Records section that is going to be added soon. As you can imagine this is the largest portion of the web site, which explains why I'm updating it last. :-)

08-27-1999

The Financial Aid section for SIS + has been updated. Nineteen (19) new routines have been added.

Next stop ... Student Records!

08-23-1999

The Admissions section has been updated. Eight (8) new routines especially designed for SIS+ have been added.

Recently, the state of South Carolina Technical College system awarded Datatel a contract to migrate each college's administrative software package over to Colleague, including the one I'm working at now. Details are sketchy at this point, but I hope I can continue to post helpful hints and programs for whatever system I am working on. That is after all the purpose of this web site.

08-17-1999

The OpenVMS section has been completed. There are several "cool" DCL command procedures located there. It's definitely worth a look! Hey, didn't I say that once before.

07-16-1999

The COBOL section has been completed. There are several interesting programs located there. It's definitely worth a look!

07-14-1999

Well, after many long hours (gee didn't I say that one time before), the new (read overhauled) site is now complete. Now that this has been done I hope to be updating the site on a more regular basis. Pretty soon I will be adding some COBOL, DCL, and new FOCUS code (and whatever else my web space will allow me). In addition, I will be promoting this site more so people will be aware of its existence.

08-05-1998

Well, I finally did it! After many long hours of bringing all of the information together (and teaching myself Microsoft FrontPage), my web site is now complete. Of course, I realize this is only the beginning. In the next few weeks, I will be adding programs that were developed for the SIS + software. As you noticed, all of the SIS related programs are for the 88.1 version (which is quickly becoming history with the Year 2000 coming upon us). Next, the program code will be better documented as I add more comments in the near future so one can better understand the logic. Also, I will attempt to locate the 'missing' master file descriptions (MFD) that are used by many of the FOCEXECs. Finally, I truly hope you enjoy this endeavor. This site is truly a labor of love!
