Virtual reality modeling language(vrml) pronounced ver-mul,   is a powerful tool that can be used to develop 3 dimensional "worlds" that are viewable over the world wide web.  The advantage of  vrml is the small code size in relation to the world being generated.  These worlds are entirely interactive,  you can walk through them and examine objects from all sides,  you can even manipulate objects!  VRML was used in the recent mission to mars by scientists at Jet Propulsion Labs.  There are links to these pages below.  VRML is redefining the way we view the web,  moving us from 2 dimensional space to fully interactive 3 dimensional space.  VRML also supports hyperlinks just as standard HTML does so what I believe would be truly wild would be to see vr worlds linking to other worlds! voila' a vr web.  An added feature of vrml is the ability to add other peoples images to an existing world,  one giant vr world...though this could get way to big and ruin download times.  Anyway follow the links to the VRML sites below for more information.
On the right a VR ice cream Cone. play with it!
