Untitled

And yet in this most modern age
when modems howl
and electrons play
across the miles with dizzying speed
we have the chance to know one's need
the hope to send a thought, a prayer
a word to those, our loved ones there.
A chance to make our presence felt
before the time when we are knelt
beside a coffin or at a pew
a chance to be there now, with you.

Dan "the errant philosopher"
