Return...

Sparkling silver and gold
lighten the night,
stars dance around the moon
shining softly and bright,
a soft breeze caresses me
and I feel at home.
In this forest to be
makes me shiver and feel
something I had forgotten for long,
something hurting and strong.
A tender voice calls my name!
Is this real? Or am I wrong?
A soft laughter I hear,
there she stands halfly hidden,
I don't feel any fear,
but a longing so deep
that I gasp, start to run
in fear to loose her anew!
And a sweet deep pain
drives through my soul while she
disappears again,
and there's nothing left,
only my memory awaken,
that was lost in the years,
but never really was taken...
I fall on my knees
with nothing to hold,
*I never realized how much I miss you*
I whisper into the cold...

Teamhair na Ri

Endless green are the hills of grass
The ground raises and falls like three waves,
No-one could ignore them and just pass
the same if there's sun or a storm that raves...

There's an atmosphere you can't explain,
The place is strange, the feeling the same.
Something very old that will forever remain,
Fills you with reverence and has its own name.

No-one knows, only the legends tell
And those stories will stay, forever they'll be!
A mystic kingdom there was and once fell
on this place that's called
Teamhair na Ri...

Prayer for an Awakening

Dragon of sea and dragon of land!
Dragon of fire and dragon of air!
Honour and faith build an ancient band
to heal and to fight, to keep and to share.

From our places they hide,
from people of our time.
Where no knowledge shines bright
from the ancient age of prime.

Where old pacts victims of mockery are
and once honoured creatures Illusions
and the constellation's every single star
some silly idea of nonsense.

Their wings teached the air strange songs,
their flames burnt as well as they built,
a power that to immortality belongs,
to the times of sword and shield.

Wake up in your graves of forgetfulness!
Show power over illusion!
Show us the meaning of the ancient code!
And let us draw the conclusion.

For the belief in honour and faithfulness
is forgotten more and more.
It's so easy to live the careless way,
but it's not only the others who'll have to pay,
one's heart will suffer sooner or later
and then we'll stay on a lonely shore.

Who will then save us from our careless minds?
Who will then show us the way?
After all the mockery we took of part,
all life-long, on every day?

Wake up and show that the legends are true!
Wake up and show what we deny!
Fly in the air, over land, sea, hill, too,
awake every single heart's cry,
there is a final chance for a try
the ancient promises to believe and to do!

Still The Only One...

There she stands on the hill, her mane softly shaking,
the wind caressing it while the world is awaking.
The first beams of the sun catch a glimmer of her
and let it rise around her body where
the shine of an opal covers her now
and she rises her head in a bow
up to the light where her horn does break
a beam into a rainbow that spreads over the lake.

There is no noise, only the whistle of the wind
and her eyes look sadly into the far.
Lonely you could call her, standing there and watching
the departure of the last brightly shining star.

She, too, once was the last one and went on her quest
for the others, the captured ones in the sea,
and she faught the flames back into the waves,
won and could set the other ones free.

But still she is different, unique and sometimes lonely
for she has a knowledge none of the others have.
On her quest she learnt it and she's the one and only
who knows love and pain, that she received as well as gave.

The sun sets the sky into flames and this fire
makes her remember and shiver, feel the sorrow again,
but there's a gentle smile in her eyes, too.
She knows she can handle this forever lasting pain.

When the blue of the sky softens the flames,
she finally moves like waking up from a dream,
and before she turns and gallops back to the others,
she leaves a gentle neigh to the sunrise she has seen.

Little Dove

Little dove, laying on the ground,
your feathers dirty from sand and dust,
your eyes looking sad and lost around,
not sparkling of happiness and trust.

Where have the ones gone to who once promised
to honestly like you, to never harm or hurt?
Who wanted you so much to stay
and now made you laying in the dirt?

Do they know what they did?
Or is ignorance and selfishness again so strong
that they run over what they say to love,
and they don't realize the last sounds of the song?

And the silence that follows,
the sad looks that are shown,
the hearts frightened or hollow,
the smiles all gone?
The freedom in cages,
hardly wants to burst out,
the cries not heard
while shouting out loud?

How much does it need
to make them realize?
How much will it cost
to let them hear the sad cries?

The little dove gets up again, trembling, but strong.
The dust disappears and white as she once shone
she lifts her wings again and sets towards the sky,
and while those who hurt wondering ask why
She sings a song from far, so everyone can hear
and some, hopefully soon more, do hear the sound so clear,
that it touches their hearts and knowing they smile
as the cage is broken and just in a while
they promise deeply again to let freedom be the only true,
*We don't need to touch, from afar we can love you!*

*The Song of the Moon*

I shone over the world
when gods and godesses reigned,
when mystic tribes ruled and lived
and when some disappeared again...

I shared my soft light
with the pain filled tears of the suffering ones
and the joyful tears of the overwhelmed,
and sometimes my shine was hope and beauty, helping, calming, guiding...

I've seen many mysterious rites,
I've seen the power and gentleness of the Earth,
and I share my life with the second one
who shines a warm light, both strong and softly bright...

I spread my gentle light
when lovers met secretly,
when battles were planned,
when people died,
when they were born,
when beloved ones left
and missed ones returned...

I've guided lost ones back to their way
and filled some others with fear,
while hundreds danced joyfully in my light
and sang their songs by the fires bright,
I've lived for uncountable years
and will be here forever and more
to share my light, to silently watch
and to listen to the waves breaking on the shore...

One More Time

Sunrise embraces the clouds on the sky
while dewshine glimmers on the deeply green hills,
and winds disappear where the ravens cry
and with silence the air around me fills...

I walk my way slowly, no hurrying at all,
my thoughts search their way and let me forget
the beauty of the new day, the morning bird's call
where young flowers bloom and lovers once met.

The ruins of an abbey appear in the far
and displeasure raises in my mind.
Again I'm on this route to a combat,
but for a long time now my heart has been blind...

No more enthusiasm for fighting I have,
for seeing my sword with the shimmer of deep red.
my soul turned away from a legend's life
and lost its belief in what I once used to have.

I keep on walking alone like I used to do
and the river shows my reflected image almost clear,
a scar on my cheek and my dark, searching eyes
and the stories of me make them all tremble of fear.

Frightened people run away from me and hide
or stammer words of surrender and awe.
They don't see the man in me, only my reputation
of the warrior who brought hundreds into their grave.

I once heard two talk thinking I didn't hear,
*Young is he and free, but wild and cruel.
Which maid would want him, none for sure.
She wouldn't love, but die of fear!*

The ruins come closer and I see the enemy wait,
his sword's blade shining from the morning sun above,
and once more I enter indifferently the gate
and wonder if this way I can gain the right for love...
