The unfaithful women problem

There is a faraway inhabited island where all the people observe two simple rules:

  1. When a woman is unfaithful to her husband then all the other male island inhabitants know of this. All know but her husband.

  2. When a husband realizes that his wife is unfaithful to him he kills her the same night.

And they lived happily until Robinson Crusoe appeared on the island as the very first alien to visit the island. He spent some time with the natives and got to know them pretty well. Then one starry night when there was a big gathering at the main square with a huge fire Robinson said so that everyone could hear "There are unfaithful women on the island!"

The natives were stunned as they never speak about these matters and everyone left for home immediately. There they pondered about what they have heard and...

The question is "How many dead women were found on the fifth morning?"
