The Jewish Community of Austin, Texas consists of about 10,000 including university students
and some outlying Austin areas. The majority live in the Northwest area of the city where we are
located. Austin is a beautiful city, with relatively low crime and pollution. Also there is no state
income or food tax and a very strong economy. Most importantly at this time, thanks to Hashem,
there has been a great spiritual upsurge in yiddishkite in Austin and in Torah observance. We
would ask and encourage anyone who is seriously thinking of moving to or within the U.S. to strongly
consider Austin and help perpetuate its Torah growth.
