so, you may ask, who is trey ellett, and why is he so special that some random girl goes off and makes a site about him? well, since i'm assuming you haven't stumbled upon this page by accident, you already know that trey is "mark" in the Angel cast of the musical, RENT... old news... so, why is there a site about him? i mean, there must be, what, 10+ people who have played "mark" at some time or another... why this guy?

ok... here goes...

we all know that anthony rapp is the original "mark"... and he's got the whole blonde, spiky hair, spazzy hand motion thing going on, and that's just great... that's who he is... however, every other actor who plays "mark" tries to emulate that (unsuccessfully, i might add), instead of making the character their own... and that's why i've always hated seeing other people play "mark"... until i saw trey... now, trey rocks... he's doing his own longish brown (getting blonder by the minute, tho) hair, no spazzy hand motion thing, and it's working... his "mark" is his own "mark"... not an anthony-jock... and don't get me wrong, i'm totally loving ant, but trey is doing his own thing, and he's rocking because of it... yay...

now that you know who trey is, see why he rocks as "mark"...
