Action Figure pages
My links page is WAY out of date, and
I "owe" a lot of people links. I will
be updating it soon, but until then, you might also want to
check the
Custom Corner links page for a more comprehensive list.
These pages are concerned with action figures, both store-bought
and customized, and comics.
Resources
These pages contain information that action figure collectors and
customizers might find useful.
-
The Raving Toy MANIAC!!! Page is the "mother of all" action
figure pages. Take your time and look around - there is a lot
of valuable information here on Internet newsgroups, FAQs,
customization, and a host of other good information. Also,
you can find just about any company or product in the
Internet Toy Off-White Pages - it's "The Largest List of Toy
Related Links on the Net!"
-
The Custom Corner, part of the Raving Toy MANIAC page, has
a lot of information on how to do customizing, including a FAQ,
recipes, and other information. There are also a lot of links to
customizers' pages here. Definitely worth checking out.
-
The Archives
of the Raving Toy MANIAC page has a list of action figure
archives. These can often be helpful when looking for a
photo of a particular figure or checking what was in a
certain action figure line. There are archives for Batman:
The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Super Powers,
Collection, Total Justice, Superman: The Man of Steel, Secret
Wars, X-men, and Spider-Man. And be sure to check out Randy
Matthews Action Figure Web Page for info on more action figure
lines than I can name off the top of my head!
-
The
Gremlins in the Garage site contains a butt-load of information
on figure modeling kits. A lot of the information is applicable to
customizing action figures. Check out the "Articles" section for
tons of tips and tricks for casting custom parts, sculpting and painting.
Check out the "Gallery" section for a HUGE assortment of models.
Customizer Galleries
Here are some pages that feature customized action figures by
people I know on the web. Please don't feel slighted if your
page is not listed here - send me your URL and I will add it to
my list. For a more complete list, see
The Custom Corner.

See
Mike's Action Figure Page for customizied work by my good
friend Mike Fichera. He's done a lot of really great work on
Spider-Man and Xmen. Mike's site was listed in the recent Wizard
Toy Fare edition - a definite sign that you've "made it"!
-
Michael Lambert has done a lot of interesting custom work too,
including some Babylon 5, The Tick, and Sandman cahracters I'd never
have thought of making. Plus, he made an awesome Borg costume for Halloween!
Check it out!
-
Mike and Nirah's Custom Figures! shows the work of
Michael Nowak and Nirah Shomer. They are a married couple
who have made a lot of really great custom figures, including
more stuff that I'd never have thought of making: characters
from The Tick, Batman:The Animated Series, Legion of Superheroes,
etc.
-
Jason Geyer's
Custom Figures Archive has still more stuff I've never seen
anywhere else: figures from Watchmen, DC comics
(where else are you gonna see Animal Man, Captain Atom, Booster Gold,
and Blue Beetle?), and Marvel comics (ditto Captain Britain, Vision,
Moon Knight, and Iron Fist!). Spend some time at this fellow Red Raider's site!

Aaron Newton is kind enough to display the works of others on his
Fig Newton's Custom Action Figure Home Page!!!. A few of mine
are still pictured there. Thanks to Aaron for getting my work out
to the web before I had my own home page!
