Introduction
The Phenomenon of Detonation is an amazing occurence. Surely, One does not need an IQ higher than room temperature to realise the massive benefit explosives have given to Mankind. Explosive Mining, Allows us to tap in to the wealth of mineral resources present in our earth. Ocean passages can easily be blown out of the ground to allow speedy travel of high volume maritime commerce, which cannot be productively shipped via air. Roads and Highways can be cut from mountains, allowing us the freedom of travel.
Sadly, the massive latent power of energetic materiels can also be exploited for negative usages. Millions of Tons of High explosives were expended in numerous wars during our history, not to mention cowardly acts of terrorism, that have made headlines in recent times. Just turn on your television or pick up a newspaper - "Car Bombs Explode in Africa.." Unfortunately, The term "Explosives" has taken on a negative connotation in the public consciousness. The blame does not lie only in such disturbing actions. Just Look On the Internet. Entering "explosives" in Yahoo for instance, returns such garbage as "Terrorists Handbook" "Anarchist Cookbook" Etc... Due to the massive proliferation of such horrid texts, that have gained an almost cult/status symbol significance, The creator and manager of EPID gave its formation an even higher priority. Also notable is the fact that there is, at the time of this writing, No area on the internet for Verified, working instruction and knowledge regarding High Explosives, EXCLUSIVE OF THE NEGATIVE UTILIZATION OF ITS POWER. This site is provided as a service to those who are interested in the chemistry, synthesis, etc.. NOT IN THE EXPLOITATION AND MISUSAGE OF SUCH POWER.

Mission
EPID was created to promote the understanding of Explosives Synthesis, and chemistry. It is geared towards those interested purely in THE PHENOMENON.
Not its possible NEGATIVE USAGES. I do not consider having an interest in explosives a bad thing - Blowing Other peoples property up and killing/maiming defenseless bystanders, However Is what i would classify under "KeWL BoMz" Attitude. If this is your goal-LEAVE NOW!
