In all the world there is nobody like you.
Since the beginning of time there

enormous value, and because of your
great value the need for you to imitate

Please realise that God made you

He has a job for you that nobody else
can do as well as you can

I would like to dedicate the above verse
to all who are disabled or handicapped
in any way. Since I joined the ranks
and became a person with a disability
following amputation of my left leg
I have met many wonderful, brave friends
who are coping with whatever affliction
that has been dealt to them.
They always have a smile on their faces
and a song in their hearts.
An American author once wrote,
"Friendships are fragile things.
They require as much care in handling
as any other fragile and precious thing"
All too often, we tend to take
friendships for granted as we go
about our daily routine
until there comes a crisis or emergency
It is then that expressions of thoughtfulness
strengthen the bonds and remind us just how precious
friendships can be.
