Circumstances
Circumstances being what they are
And we’re so far apart
How to reach across the seas
How to make a start
You have been a light to brighten up my night
An angel on golden wings making life seem light
The twinkle in your eyes; the way you laugh so clear
The way you walk and talk; and just YOU are so dear
How to bridge the gap now
I’d give the world to know
Our circumstances changing
A path I wish to show
I hear your voice in silence; as I see your face
I reach out in dreams; touching across time and space
Don’t know if you feel the same; but something tells me so
Afraid to take another step; now it’s something I must know
Circumstances, oh for circumstances
Who knows what will be
Were it just for a change in place
Then I bet we’d see
So as I lay my body down; in my heart you’re lying there
Soft and warm we press real tight; in sleep without a care
And in the morning we join as one; and ride a wave of love
Reveling in this new found joy; as a gift sent from above
If it weren’t for circumstance
A realty my dream could be
Maybe with a little time
Just maybe we will see
