Indecision

You see the  clean grass across the meadow
You smell the river thundering past
Yet there's something keeping you here now
Something you wish would not last
Pulled in directions you do not know why
The chains of the past bind you down
But somewhere inside you a need it does stir
Straining to catch freedom's sound
A heart filled with passion a soul lost in time
With a mind torn in many directions
Caught in a void of touch gone awry
Searching for ways to make corrections
Though you see freedom's promise
And feel hope's desire you wonder what will it be
Looking at faces which pass you by
Yet somehow you still can not see
Things pull to the right and then to the left
Demands they just twist you around
Wanting to run ever so far
Indecision just plants you to the ground
Those chains they can't bind you
If you will set your heart free
You've the power in your hand
It's now time to turn the key
