| Popups
are commands triggered by your RIGHT mouse button by clicking in the nickname
list or in the main window(largest screen)which in turn gives you a menu
to choose items from. If you havent downloaded PIRCH98 yet, I recommend
getting it. You will notice a few changes, but basically the easy
to use and the interface hasn't changed.
One plus you have in PIRCH98 is an added popup window...which makes 5 now. In pirch32 you only had 4(server/status, Channel(main panel), Channel(name list), and msg/DCC. Now you have one called Main Menu. This tab allows you to add popups to your main window!! A very functional tool!! If you are a op then you can put controls on the main window like kick/ban or shun
To load a popup.irc file. Click on
popups on the toolbar. Then click on the tab of the window that you
want to load it into click load at the bottom of the window(for
PIRCH98 click on the + sign) this will give you a list of files.
Double click to load the file. Click on Save at the bottom of the window(check
mark top left corner in PIRCH98) and you are ready to have fun!!

all popups must be on one line in order to work correctly |
| Server popups are generally
used to issue commands after connection. Some servers that have nick
registration require a password and this protects your nick from others. You can also join rooms from this screen
Adding popups is fairly simple and is the same for all 5 windows 1) click on popups on the tool bar 2) click on tab named "Server Window" 3) type in a title(name) followed by a colon( : ) then your command(/join #30+toybox) 4) click SAVE generally, this is where I store my extra/borrowed popups until I can edit them and use them. *note: the pass is only needed if you are an op in a room and on some servers there are bots that do this for you* |

section can be used for any type of command, but is mostly used for fun/colorful
popups.
1) click on popups on the tool bar 2) click on tab named "Channel(names list)" 3) type in a title(name) followed by a colon( : ) then your popup 4) click SAVE To use this popup, highlight a name in the list and right click. A menu will pop up and you should see your popups. Highlight one and click it to execute. *note: when you first download pirch you get 2 samples of popups... a hug and a slam. You must acquire more popups once downloaded* |

are used in a DCC/priv msg chat(1-1). Most commonly used are fun/colorful
popups in private messages.

| You have
already learned how to copy and paste
popups now you will learn how to do the multi-lined popups.
Next click on popups
at the top of your PIRCH window and then on which ever window you want
to put it in (usually Channel Names List). Name the popup follow it with
a colon ( : ) and then paste your popup in. Edit it by taking out any names
or unwanted lines. If there is more than one line in the popup the lines
must be separated by a | (shift \) and then put into one
line. Click on Save at the bottom(checkmark in pirch98). For

To download these files click on the icon and it will open the file then copy as many as you want then open the popup file and then in the channel (name list) just put them under a heading and just hit save or you can just click on the check mark on the top left corner
