Down on the Farm

All the vehicles on the farm are quite old. In fact, Jonathan has a full-time job just keeping them running!

Tom's job is to focus on production and productivity. Each crop has its cycle and its needs, and it is a full-time job just making sure that proper procedures are applied in a timely fashion.

This year, we are lucky in that more family members have been involved in the sales and production aspects.

The fruit is picked, graded and sold at the roadside stand which has been in operation for over 50 years. We also wholesale some of the excess fruit, and offer Pick-Your-Own for those who want to experience the joy of harvesting delicious tree-ripened fruit.

Those who have tasted our hothouse tomatoes marvel at their exquisitely delightful flavor. A Wickham tomato tastes so good because a farmer has cared for his hothouse "babies" all through the cold winter months, when "not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse."
