flying thoughts

washington square
i wrote and doodle alot in the park, when i'm depressed. watching people go by, while i listen to the same old tape of recorded thai songs that i brought with me to the states. this one's written on a sun shiny day, after i went strolling in the east village, checked out some occult shops, bought a 6 in. tuna salad sub, and sat under a tree sketching these two girls in their tanks...

her leaving
"people come and people go"... i've had one of the greatest times, since i came here about a year ago, (here is new york city) when my highschool friends visted me during march. it felt like home again. 38 empty bottles of beer sit in the fireplace. and it reminded me of the times... still.

the anatomy lecture
mr.montano's a nice funny old guy. he's my drawing professor at pratt. he also lectures an anatomy class in columbia university. this was written in one of his lectures uptown, while the other kids are busy drawing away body parts and labelling them in their sketch pads.

midnight in queens
i used to go for refuge at my cousin's place in flushing, queens whenever i couldn't think straight, when i needed some space away from everything. i don't do anything much there really. i look after my cousins' kids -- nathan and alex. i helped change their heavy diapers, and one time i had to clean up alex's puke in the middle of the most touching scene in 'before sunrise'! i wrote this one later that night, listening to my favorite radio program, echoes, which broadcasts new age night sounds on public radio.

one day
this is the product of my confusion, my anger, and my love. again, it took place in flushing. alot of it is just me spitting out gargabe. don't mind me. i have nothing else to say about it.
