Square Pegs, Round Holes

On the Destroy! pages dedicated to reviewing fan fiction, you'll find many great archives where you can get stories written by fans of all your favourite shows. At least, in theory, that's the idea. In practice there are some shows that just don't get a great volume of fiction written about them, and therefore no-one builds an archive for them. The best way to bypass this, is to build a multimedia archive; that is an archive that stores fan fiction with a number of different sources. That way, when a reader visits such a site, they'll be more inclined to download fiction, rather than moving on to a more plentiful archive.

I'm not going to pretend that this is some kind of marvelous haven for lost fiction; it isn't. In fact, if I were to review it, it would definitely get a [1/3], as it is so small. At the moment, it isn't even an archive. What it is, is a way station for fanfics with no homes to go to. The first entry, "The Cutter", is a fan script for a show that hasn't even started yet. Other fictions may be from a personal favourite film, book, or a short lived television show. I'm currently working on an Eerie, Indiana fanfic, and that'll probably make its way here, too.

If you have a fan fiction for a source that doesn't have an archive anywhere on the InterWeb, and is *not* a piece of erotica or slash fiction, and would like to have it published, please mail it to me and I'll post it up here. If no-one else wants to send anything; that's fine. This section of Destroy! will then become my own personal hidey hole. But if you want to send something in, don't be shy.

We're all friends here.
