This Dreamer's Life

My name is Luann (aka Luau Lulu Glu Lupan Lann Bone's Head....what can I say, I have a lot of wacky friends!)

Okay, about me--I was born in Walterboro, South Carolina, a small town about 45 miles outside of Charleston. The only memories I really have from elementary school are being teased by the other kids because I had the biggest overbite you've ever seen, topped off with 2 huge buck teeth--my nickname was the "bucktooth beaver".

I got braces and joined the band program in sixth grade, and after that I started making some new friends. My fondest memories come from being in the band. Walterboro has a great band program. I remember being devastated when we came in 2nd at the South Carolina state marching championships my freshman year of highschool.

I lived in Walterboro until tenth grade. My dad got a promotion that year, so he moved me, my mom, my younger brother and sister, and our katrillion pets about 3 hours away to Vidalia, Georgia. (Yes, it's where the onions come from.) I had a really tough time adjusting to my new life, and that's when I began writing poetry. I guess I had an easier time writing all my feelings down on paper rather than talking to anyone about them.

I went to Georgia Southern Universtiy for a year, and now I'm at the University of Georgia.

I still love music and writing. I play clarinet in the UGA redcoat marching band, and you've probably already noticed that I have included some of my poetry on this site.

By now, I've probably said a lot more than anyone wanted to know, but hey, this is my page after all, so I can do whatever I want with it :)
