A question I often get asked when I'm cornered by fans in the street or in the checkout line at Woolworths is, "Jason, how do you make an animation?" Well my friends, I could more easily answer, "How do you give birth to cumquat?" In short, I have no idea how to make an animation.
So that is why I created this tutorial: in an attempt to pass on my limited knowledge of animation in trueSpace. Along the way I'll pick up some useful information myself and perhaps we'll all walk away a bit more the wiser.
At present I'm writing a Work In Progress at The trueSpace Forum on how I'm creating an animation called, Sun Catcher. The basic premise behind this animation is still unclear at this stage, but basically I think that there is some device that was used by people hundreds of years ago that could capture the rays of the sun. This device called Sun Catcher would be brought into a hall and would light the room with sunlight. Kind of cooky, heh?
Anyway, at this stage I've only just started the Work In Progress (WIP) post at the forum and therefore all information is still in its infancy.
What I have decided to do is break the WIP up into small topic-related chunks and these are listed below. During the early phases of this process there will be little content behind each of the links, but these will soon begin to fill out with useful information. Some of this information may even be pertinent to trueSpace animation!
The final link will always be a shortcut to the latest images.
