Chat appointments :  We meet on the 23rd of every month at 11 pm in Paris, 5 pm in New York, 2 pm in California, 4 am in Jakarta, 7 am in Tokyo. This day I'm generally connected since 9.30 pm in France untill 1.30 am, so you can try to join during this time if you cannot make it at 11. Refer to the Worldclock Foe has sent for the time.

See the accounts of the chat appoinments in the News page. For chats out of this appointment, E-mail to baudron@interpc.fr or to interzone23@hotmail.com . You can use those chats for your personal appointments as well.

Different chat systems we use in Interzone :

January 30th 1999 : You are invited by Grape2061 http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Dreamworld/9825/ to join the listed Yahoo! Club named "THE INTERZONE COFFEE HOUSE".

To become a member of this club, just go to the Web address below:
http://edit.clubs.yahoo.com/config/sjg?.i=theinterzonecoffeehouse&.a=i&

You need to go to the address above to join the club, but you can take a look at the club by going to:
http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/theinterzonecoffeehouse

It contains a chat which can welcome a large number of people : let's meet there when you want.

October 17th 98 : Interzone now has a special chat-room called "Interzone" , in the International floor of gay.com http://www.gay.com You get into it directly by clicking on the applet below, after writing your name or nick in the window which comes then and clicking on "Enter"

A special thanks to Jeff Bennett, Director of Community Relations of gay.com, for encouraging this site.

A funny thing about this gay.com chat-room : Iggy took me here in November 97 when I was looking for a chat-room for the monthly appointment . Something strange happenned then : while coming here for the first time, I had the mental images of a building I was getting into, of an elevator up to the floor, then of a corridor leading to the room. The remembrance of a dream I've had the previous night came back suddenly : the vision of a huge building with many rooms I had visited. And I realized the chat-rooms were part of the Academy. (see below "Beat Museum - Bardo Hotel" by Brion Gysin)

The Chat Planet one in Dan's site : http://www.dancentury.com/red_night/chat.htm

It takes some times to download, but is practicle for group exchanges and from there you can access to many other chat-rooms in jumping from a channel to another one

Chaya created a chat-room in mIRC called #Interzone.

The IRC server is Random US DALnet server. For getting it, you go to the site http://www.mirc.co.uk , download the chat, and register it, and it will be in your computer then. So you do not have to go on the net to chat, just click on your mIRC icon. Then you click on "File" and "connect" to get connected to the site. You sometimes have to try several times to get connected as it can fail. Once connected, you click on "Command" , and "Join channel" , and you write Interzone, as the channel you select. The only problem is I cannot use it because I got kicked by a robot once, and mIRC does not want me anymore L .

Several of us also are on ICQ, very practicle to know when the other ICQ users who are connected and to get in touch with them immediately. It's okay for chats with two or three people, but not for bigger meetings. mIRC chat can have a huge number of people. My # is 3146693.

 BEAT MUSEUM - BARDO HOTEL

BRION GYSIN

"The Beat Museum is a grandiose pseudo-Pompeian villa recently erected on the Palmdale Bulge, a mysterious swelling of the eart astride California's San Andrea Fault. Geologists generally agree that a major earthquake here is inevitable. The Museum is all museums, all collections of the past to be gathered and destroyed. It is administered by those forces who hold and retain such objects and images in "dead time". They are known as "Westerners".

The Bardo Hotel is all hotels. You check in and check out and there goes a lifetime. The Bardo has 49 rooms on 7 floors. Any temporary resident may spend a day and a night in each room but then must leave. It is up to the client whether or not to come back again."
