All About Me
I am a 25 year old college student and mom. I work for NASPW on base and go to school in the evenings and weekends so that I may obtain my associates in Info. Tech. This is the first web page that I have ever done and it took me quite some time. My son even personalized his own page at this site as to maintain communication with his friend Kyle who has moved to Washington state. I enjoy a good challenge and juggling Dusten, Harold, school and work has proven to be a worthy one. With classes finished until the end of January I can now go into panic mode and try to get my Christmas shopping done.
Favorite movie:
My favorite movie is one from my chidhood--Labrynth. It's about a girl who wishes that the goblin king in a story will take her little brother away so that she can rehearse her lines for a school play --and he does. David Bowie is the goblin king so you know there's singing.
In my spare time...
I spend a lot of my leisure time cooking and sewing. Baking is a favorite past time and my co-workers don't seem to mind being guinea pigs. Recently I finished my first quilt, it was for my son. I used blocks of fabric with things he loves like aliens and bugs and on the back embroidered some hot air balloons and clouds. He likes the back the best because the clouds are all glittered. In the summer I like to spend time in the yard. I love to cut the grass and grow tomatoes in barrels. The only time I am happy is when I am making someone else happy so it's a good thing that I am creative. With all of the new software available I find myself making cards, envelopes and other silly things to keep me busy.
Music preference..
I enjoy various types of music, it just depends on my mood. Frank Sinatra is a favorite. Don't laugh but Elvis is also at the top of my list along with Barry White and Jimmy Hendrix.
Dislikes...
I hate mini-vans and most people that drive them. They get in front of you and you can't ever see around them and generally the driver is swirving all over the road because it is full of children. I hate people that laugh when you ask questions--if I knew the answer I wouldn't have asked and I think that it is a shame to go through life not knowing. (There were many examples of individuals such as this in class)
Favorite season/color/holiday...
My favorite holiday is halloween. I think it has to do with the fact that orange and green are my favorite colors and fall is my favorite season..
