y wife has left me.
It was probably because of Wednesday’s enty.
No, seriously, she went away for the weekend with a group from church,
leaving me to fend for myself. I always have big plans for when she does
something like that, because I’m rarely left alone anymore -- something
that is much more of a blessing than a curse. I’m trying to find time to
do all of the following….
Practice my new trombone, play around with my keyboard, polish my trumpets
(notice a developing pattern here?), get in some exercise, upgrade my computer,
upgrade this web page, make some new Minidiscs, watch a movie or two, get
a haircut, clean out my filing cabinet, clean out my closet, and find a
job.
I offer this list here online for all to see because I doubt if I’ll
actually accomplish more than one or two of these items.
Actually, I don't mind much when my wife goes away. True, it's
tough late at night when I'm alone in a huge bed, but otherwise, it's not
so bad. We're not one of those couples that spends most of their
time running in opposite directions -- if I'm not at work, odds are that
we're together. Let's put it this way -- with the baby on the way,
this is probably the last time I'll be truly alone for more than five minutes
for a long time.
