My Favorite Art

When I was walking through an art museum for the 1st time (as a really little boy), I didn't like "this old stuff". Soon thereafter I saw soup cans, Coca Cola bottles, matchboxes, and Brillo Boxes in another museum. I thought that if that's art then I like it.
That's how I discovered Pop Art and immediately was attracted by it in a magical way. Even nowadays I'm mainly interested in contemporary art and art of the second half of this century.
This is my virtual Museum of Modern Art. Please enter and feel free to explore!

Andy Warhol

Roy Lichtenstein

Keith Haring

Robert Rauschenberg

Jean-Michel Basquiat

My Favorite Art Museums

"...When we consider what is called Pop
art - although I don't think it is a very good
idea to group everybody together and think
we are doing the same thing - we assume
these artists are trying to get outside the
work. Personally, I feel that in my own
work I wanted to look
programmed or
impersonal but I don't really believe I am
being impersonal when I do it. And I don't
think you could do this."
