Madonna

I've always found Madonna to be a
multi-faceted phenomenon. Like a chameleon
she changes shape and color; evasively
masking herself with image upon image.
This editorial illustration depicts
the ironic use of religion by the
contemporary Pop icon, to promote her
contrasting "bad girl" image.

This painting was chosen to hang in the
Dallas Society of Illustrator's 14th Juried Exhibition
in the Dallas Visual Arts Center.

It was also printed in the
1998 Texas Creative Sourcebook
®.
