Welcome to my virtual gallery. In June of 1998 I visited Oklahoma City and the site of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing site. I was very curious as to how the site looked. I came away with a greater understanding of the devastation caused by the bombing and the relative location of items and other buildings we heard about in the news

This is the famous memorial fence erected around the former building site. These items are removed from the fence periodically and placed into storage. Some will be displayed at a planned museum in the Journal Record Building nearby.

This is what is left of the Journal Record Building, located across the street and a parking lot from the Murrah Building. You can clearly see the damage to the building. Look at the slanted roof at the front of the building; you can see it was blown away. This is where a museum is planned.

This is an epitath left behind on the wall of the Journal Record Building by a rescue crew. It is near the survivor tree.

There are many churches in the area of the Murrah Building that were severely damaged. The parish of St. Joseph's Old Cathedral erected this statue on the site of it's rectory destroyed in the blast.
