These are some photos I found in a box in my storage unit during my recent trip back home. I thought they would be worth scanning and sharing.
My kindergarten class at Taft Elementary School, Lakewood, Ohio (just west of Cleveland). I know the first names of a few of these kids, but no last names. My teacher was Ms Neneman.
My individual kindergarten photo, 1976
My 1st Grade class, taught by Sally Zuercher (now Sally Warbel), at R.F. McMullen Elementary School in Loudonville, Ohio. I have nearly all the names of this class and the next three. I'm the one in the second row with an all-denim ensemble.
My first-grade photo, 1977. Don't know why I had such a weird smile and no eye contact, but I made up for it in later years.
My 2nd Grade class at McMullen, 1978, taught by Sue Pratt. I have energized my smile (see front row with glasses and blond hair).
My 3rd Grade class at McMullen, 1979, taught by Jane Hobson. I have a modelesque sideways stance.
My 4th Grade class at McMullen, 1980, taught by Cheryl Boston. I am wearing a bad shirt.
A close-up of a much larger photo of the "Camp Ohio" 4-H camp kids from the summer of 1981, somewhere in northeastern Knox County. Pictured here are fellow Loudonvillians Marty Augenstein, Mike Moffatt, Steve Rogers, and my good friend Ronnie McFarlin, sitting next to me.
This is my little league team, based in Perrysville, from the summer of 1983. We were undefeated, and I have a trophy, but I think I only batted 12 times and only got on base once. Teammates included Dave Christine, Mike Robinson, Jeff Hannan, Mick Maffett, Lee Smith...(help me out).
This is my dad's yearbook photo from his first year teaching at Loudonville's C.E. Budd School (1978--30 years old!)
