Hi, my name is Michael Duncan, and maybe you can help me. The situation is as follows. I have two females that are twin sisters that were adopted by an American family. The girls were adopted in 1980 from El Salvador. The girls names before adoption were Ana Ruth Salgado" and "Norma Elizabeth Salgado" and they were born on November 4, 1973 in Soyopango, San Salvador, El Salvador. I have the names of two places they stayed until they were adopted. Maybe you can help by identifying these places and hopefull you know where they are located and if they are still around. The first place is called "Hogar Adalberto of Nueva San Salvador (Santa Tecla)". The second place they had stayed is called "Centro de proteccion de menores". I have absolutely no knowledge of the area and know little Spanish so it is difficult to do people searches and searches in general. The history of the girls is as follows. The natural mother "Clara Luz Salgado Lopez" left the girls (age 6 months) with "Mrs. Carlota Gonzalez Bonilla Viude de Iraheta (widow lady)". I am unsure of what type of relationship the mother had with this women but the adoption papers say that the natural mother left no information on her where abouts. Mrs. Iraheta raised the girls for six and a half years until she passed away. Mrs. Iraheta didn't have any family (her two sisters Regina and Cecilia Flores were murdered in riots happening in the country) so the children then became Orphans. The girls remember the murders taking place within their residence. They said they remember hiding under the bed after realizing that several men entered the residence, and while hiding under the bed they witness the murders of these women. It is unknown when this event took place but maybe there is a police report or newspaper art cle pertaining to it, I believe if I can find just one relative of Mrs. Iraheta or a relative of the mother someone will surely remember Identical twin sisters. The girls said the place they lived was also a store they believe was called "Ninas" (they sai it might mean "sisters" or "twins") which was owned by Mrs. Iraheta. The girls also vaguely remember the name of Mrs. Iraheta's son. They called him Uncle Toro. They also said that Uncle Toro (unsure of the correct spelling) visited them several times at the orphanage and said that his last visit was just before their adoptive parents were going to pick them up. They remember pleading with him to adopt them but he said he was unable to take custody of the girls due to financial reasons. They also said he as aware of where they were going because he told them they were going to a good place. The girls are now 26 years old and live in New Jersey. They are anxious to know if their natural mother is alive. They really want to know their family history for sev ral reasons, one being medical history. They would like to have children and would feel better knowing their family medical history. The adoption papers state that the father is unknown. The girls always thought that Mrs. Iraheta was their grandmother but the adoption papers do not state that. There has to be some type of relationship between the mother and Mrs. Iraheta since she left the girls with her and Mrs. Iraheta raised them for six and half years. I also have names of those involved in the adoption process. The people residing in El Salvador that had direct involvement in this case are as follows. "Doctor Yolando Myers de Vasquez (judge of minors)" and "Mark Van Riper" the judges assistant. Mr. Riper was the person that took made the arrangements wi h the adopting parents. Well I know there is a lot of info but I'm hoping you will come up with some clues. Please feel free to pass this message along to anyone that has the resources to help. Having a Salvadorian check into these clues could turn out to be invaluable to long mystery. Thank you again, Michael
