How to rip a DVD to an Avi...

1. Install DVD Decrypter on your PC. It can be downloaded from here http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/

2. Stick the DVD you want to back up into the computer.

3. Select IFO from the Mode menu.

4. Select the film from the VTS_01 menu and press the button that has the picture of the DVD on it

5. Wait til it finishes, taking a note of where the DVD decrypts to.

Next, install Any Video Converter (free version)

1 Select Add Video

2. Navigate to the folder where the DVD was backed up to.

3. Go into the VIDEO_TS folder and select all the .VOB files. They're usually called VTS_01_1.VOB etc.

4. Highlight the vobs and then right-click on them. Select Merge Output

5. You can tweak the settings of what you want in the video on the top right of the program

6. Click the Encode button

7. Enjoy :)
